Things to do while in Edinburgh

Below are few suggestion of places to visit while in Edinburgh outwith the normal walk down the Royal Mile, taking in the Castle and Holyrood Palace.

Arthur's Seat & Salsibury Crags

Fantastic views from Arthur's Seat or if you don't have time to climb Arthur's Seat, Salsibury Crags that sits in front of Arthur's Seat still allows you to enjoy a great view over Edinburgh.

South Queensferry

Lovely little village situated between the Forth Road and Rail bridges. Either take a bus to S. Queensferry or train to Dalmeny to enjoy spectacular views of the iconic Forth Rail Bridge. Afterwords enjoy lunch in one of the great pubs or restaurants in the village.

National Museum Of Scotland

A fantastic morning or afternoon can be spent exploring the NMS which is free to enter. Many great exhibits from around the world or just enjoy the modern part of the building that deals with Scottish history.

Tea room within the Signet Library a great place to enjoy afternoon tea while surrounded by history.

A pub ten minute walk from flat where they brew their own beer on the prenmises. If you like hot dogs and beer you'll love this place.
